This Recommended Practice defines nomenclature for tube fittings most commonly used ininstrumentation. It is not intended as a substitute for manufacturers' catalog numbers, nor does it apply tospecial fittings. This Recommended Practice is intended to apply to mechanical flared and flareless tubefittings as commonly used in instrument tubing systems.
