Electrical Resistance of Yarns (Reaffirmed – 2011)
standard by American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists, 2001

Category:

Description

The purpose of this test method is to determine the electrical resistance of all textile yarns containing natural and man-made fibers. The tendency of a textile yarn to accumulate electrical charges depends upon the electrical resistance of the yarn. Due to the mechanism of conductance, this method is not applicable to yarns containing randomly situated stainless steel or other highly conductive fibers.
